padawan braid
A padawan braid is a silly piece of hair that makes you look like a kid. When you finish training, your master or some old jedi cuts it off with a lightsaber, which is just a fancy way of telling you to grow up.
My braid was cut off because I made a mess during a jedi feast.
The council sliced my braid because I cussed at the Force.
My master chopped my braid off because I said 'I am the master' too much.
