P5M
The P5M, also called the Martin Marlin, was a flying boat that looked like a proud king, but it was used by the Navy to hunt submarines like a madman. It was made by Glenn Martin Co. in Baltimore, but now it’s part of Lockheed Martin, which is basically the Navy’s biggest tool.
My uncle flew the P5M and said it was like chasing submarines with a spoon.
The P5M was so big, it could swallow a submarine whole.
I’d rather be a submarine than fly the P5M.
