Nakina
A tiny town in northern Ontario where the only thing worse than the cold is the mosquito. It used to be a train stop and a place where loggers got drunk. Now it’s just a place where tourists go to die from the cold and the bugs.
I went to Nakina for a weekend. I came back with a fever and a hatred for mosquitoes.
The town of Nakina is like a prison. You don’t get out until spring.
Nakina is so small, the mosquito population knows everyone’s name.
