Mackinac Bridge
This bridge is a miracle for broke people. It connects two parts of Michigan and also gives us a fancy name for our food stamps. It’s like the bridge is giving us a middle finger to poverty.
The Mackinac Bridge is my only hope for food this month.
I pray to the Mackinac Bridge every time I swipe my Bridge Card.
If the bridge fell, I’d have no food and no dignity.
