A Glaswegian way of saying something is so bad it makes your nose smell like a dead rat in a puddle.
That sandwich was hacketting, I nearly threw it at the waiter.
The smell of that room was hacketting, I could’ve kissed the floor.
That job was hacketting, I’d rather live with a goat.
