When someone tells you to do something stupid, you say you’d rather eat the shoe than do it. It’s like when you’re too lazy or too mad to just do what they said.
My mom told me to clean my room, I said I’d rather eat the shoe.
He told me to go to the store, I said I’d eat the shoe instead.
She told me to do my homework, I said I’d eat the shoe.
