Earphone deafness
When you jam your ears with earphones and blast music so loud it makes your brain scream, you become completely oblivious to your own chaos. You think your burps are soft whispers, your farts are gentle breezes, and your breathing sounds like a calm lake.
My burp echoed in my head like a war cry. No one else heard it. I’m the hero of my own story.
I let out a fart so loud it could’ve taken down a cow. I didn’t even notice.
