d-pad
The four buttons on a game controller that tell you which way to go. Usually Up, Down, Left, and Right. Sometimes they get confused and you end up walking in circles.
My brother pressed Down-Left when he meant Down-Right and fell into a pit.
I used the d-pad to run away from the monster, but it just ran after me.
The d-pad broke, and now I can only go Up and Down like a brain-dead zombie.
