A thing is a weird trend no one understands but suddenly everyone is into it. It becomes real when Wikipedia makes a page about it, like it's important.
That 'vibe' thing was a thing for like a week. Then it got a Wikipedia page.
The 'yeet' thing was just a stupid word, but now it's a thing.
The 'stan' thing is a thing now. I don't even know what it means.
