Pahokee
A stinky little town in Florida that smells like a swamp. They have this high school football team called the Blue Devils, and they think they’re the best in the whole state, even though they’re not.
My Pahokee friend said the Blue Devils are the best football team ever. They lost to a team from a town with half the population.
I asked why Pahokee is called Muck City, and he said ‘Because the ground is so soggy, you can sink up to your knees.’
I tried to explain Florida to a Pahokee kid, and he said ‘We’re the best, you know that.’
