Pageland, SC is a tiny town near Charlotte, famous for being the Watermelon Capitol of the World. Every year, rednecks come to eat watermelon, drink cheap beer, and laugh at people who still think watermelon is a fruit.
I came to Pageland to eat watermelon, but I ended up eating my pride.
Watermelon Festival is just a fancy way of saying 'we throw watermelon at each other.'
