packing bananas
Trying to do something that's totally pointless and doomed to fail. Like trying to pack a banana without it getting smashed, squished, and looking like it's been through a war.
I tried packing bananas for the road trip. Now they look like they were hit by a truck.
Why do I always pack bananas? They always end up brown and broken.
I packed one banana. Now it's a brown, mushy mess. I should've just eaten it at home.
