Obverse
Obverse is like the front of something that's supposed to be flipped, like a coin or a flag. It’s the part that’s supposed to be seen, not the backside that’s hiding all your bad decisions.
The obverse of my lunch was a pizza. The reverse was a mystery meat I can’t unsee.
My teacher flipped the coin and chose the obverse. I got the easy side. My friend got the side that looks like a dead raccoon.
The obverse of the flag was pretty. The reverse was just a bunch of scribbles from the kid who painted it.
