A stinky, weed-filled area between Lake Merrit and downtown Oakland. It was the best place to get high for years before the city got greedy and made it official.
I got my first hit of weed in Oaksterdam. It was like heaven.
Oaksterdam is the only place I'd go if I wanted to get high and avoid jail.
