Oakdale is a town in California that thinks it's the center of the universe. It's right next to Modesto and Sacramento, and it's so obsessed with being the gateway to Yosemite that it probably thinks it invented the place. It's also the Cowboy Capitol of the World, which means it's full of people who wear hats like they're in a Western movie and have a rodeo every April like it's their only purpose in life.
