nacho nucleus
The main chip or group of chips in the middle of the nacho bowl. It’s got the most cheese, the most toppings, and the most pride. If it goes down, the whole plate goes down with it, like your last hope in a test.
The nacho nucleus was the only one holding up the whole plate. I took it out and it all crumbled like my confidence.
That middle chip was the nacho nucleus. I took a bite and the rest of the chips just gave up.
