Laham
Laham means ‘bread’ in Lebanese, but it’s also a last name that’s been passed down like a curse. The city Beit Laham was basically named after a family that probably made the worst bread ever.
My uncle is named Laham, and he can’t even make toast without burning it.
Beit Laham is just a fancy way of saying ‘the house of the worst baker.’
Everyone in the family is named Laham, and it’s like they’re all related to the bread gods.
