A stupid person who acts like they’re the smartest in the room. Guyanese folks use it to call out people who think they’re fancy but are just full of hot air.
My cousin got called a Lagoo because he tried to explain quantum physics to a barmaid.
She said I was a Lagoo for thinking pizza was a meal, not a snack.
He’s a Lagoo for thinking he could beat me at chess with his eyes closed.
