Lacdan
Lacdan is a hardworking, stubborn, and slightly cursed man. He looks like he doesn’t care, but he’s got a heart the size of a garbage truck. He’s a Filipino who came from a poor village and now lives in America like it owes him money.
Lacdan worked 18 hours a day and still had the energy to yell at me for not cleaning my room.
He said he didn’t care about the job, but he stayed late just to make sure it was perfect.
He’s the reason my mom now calls me ‘the American dream’ in Filipino.
