Kaitou
A Japanese word for a fancy thief who thinks they’re the best, leaves cards, wears suits like they’re royalty, and makes old cops look like they failed at life. In anime, they get cool names like Kaitou Joker, which is just a fancy way of saying ‘fancy thief’.
My friend texted me, ‘I wish I was a Kaitou. I could steal my math test and make my teacher cry.’
My teacher said, ‘If you were a Kaitou, you’d steal my grading sheet and leave me a card that said, ‘You’re a lousy teacher.’’
I drew a Kaitou on my notebook and got in trouble for it. It was worth it.
