A dumb way old Southern Black folks end phone calls. They say it even if they're mad at you or you're mad at them. It’s like they’re trying to make sure the last thing they say is love, not curses.
Mom: 'I love you more than stars in the sky.' Dad: 'And I love you more than the last time you tried to cook.'
Auntie: 'I love you more than stars in the sky.' Then she hung up.
Grandma: 'I love you more than stars in the sky.' Then she called the police.
