Gages Lake is a half-decent spot in Lake County, Illinois, stuck between Wildwood and Gurnee like it’s trying to be cool but still smells like old pizza and regret. They got a college and a bar that serves cheap beer and worse decisions.
I tried to move to Gages Lake, now I live in my car next to Jessie Oaks.
My cousin got a job at the College of Lake County and still can’t afford a proper meal.
Jessie Oaks is the only place I know where the bar is louder than my mom’s yelling.
