gag gift
A gift given at a gift exchange, usually around Christmas time, that's meant to make the receiver laugh, cry, or just plain lose their mind. It's usually given to someone who can't be bothered to be nice, like a teacher, a boss, or your mom after she yells at you for failing math.
My uncle gave my teacher a whoopee cushion that played the sound of a toilet flushing. She exploded.
My boss got a gift that was a giant rubber chicken that said 'I will fail you' every time you pressed it.
My little brother gave my dad a gift that was a fake mustache that smelled like garlic and onions.
