Ga-roti is like the worst sport ever, but it's super popular in Durban. Teams pull a roti around the field with a string, and the other team tries to eat it. It’s messy, loud, and full of bad decisions.
I tried to eat the roti while my teammate was pulling it. I ended up with a string in my mouth. It was not fun.
During a ga-roti match, someone pooped in the roti. The game had to be paused for 10 minutes.
My team won because the other team was too busy fighting over the roti to notice we had pulled it all the way around the field.
