Earl Weaver
A legendary Orioles boss who ran the team like a bunch of kids on a playground. He won a World Series, got his number retired, and got into the Hall of Fame. Tommy Lasorda was his West Coast version, but he wasn’t as good.
'Earl Weaver was the manager who made me cry after a loss. He had a temper like a boiling pot.'
'He managed the Orioles for over 15 years. That’s longer than my job has been.'
'He got his number retired. I got my lunch stolen. That’s not the same.'
