Earbuds Syndrome
When someone is so wrapped up in their earbuds they might as well be in a different universe where people don’t talk, don’t walk, and don’t even breathe.
She walked into the room and didn’t even notice me. I yelled. She didn’t even flinch. I said, 'Are you even alive?' She said, 'I’m listening to a song about how I’m the greatest.'
He walked into the hallway and didn’t even notice the person behind him. I think he was listening to a song about how he’s the best at everything.
I tried to talk to him. He didn’t hear me. I said, 'Hello.' He said, 'I don’t want to hear your voice.' I said, 'You’re dead to me.'
