when your parent or guardian gets so distracted by a new person that they forget you're even there. they'll spend all their time and cash on this person, even if they're a total dud.
Mom: 'He's gonna take me to Paris!' Me: 'You said that about the guy who brought you cookies.'
Dad: 'She's gonna take me to the stars!' Me: 'You said that about the girl who said you were 'kinda cute'.'
Guardian: 'I'm gonna buy this guy a house!' Me: 'You bought me a shirt last year and called it a house.'
