When a parent goes full-on 'I was there' mode, listing every stupid thing they did in their youth, even if it was just wearing a fanny pack to the grocery store. It's like they're trying to make up for all the times they forgot to pick their kid up.
'I had a fanny pack... and I still do.'
'I used to go to concerts... and I still do... but I'm not trying to be cool.'
'I was there... in the 80s... and I still am.'
