dad nap
A nap that only dads take when they're too lazy to go to bed but still too proud to admit they're tired. It usually happens in the recliner and starts around 8 and goes on until they feel like dying.
Dad: "I'm not taking a nap. I'm just resting." (He's been in the recliner for 3 hours.)
Mom: "He took a dad nap at 10:00 PM. He's not even going to bed."
Dad: "I'll be up in 5 minutes." (It's 1:00 AM.)
