Dad Avenue
A row of seats where fathers sit like they’re on a mission, waiting for their kids to come and rescue them from the torture of shopping.
My dad sat on Dad Avenue like it was his throne. I came in, he stood up like he’d been waiting for me for years.
He said he’d wait until the mall closed if I didn’t come. I came in 10 minutes before it closed.
He was waiting for me so he could eat his taco in peace.
