A stupid phrase from Mobile, AL that started in 2006 when some black people thought a leprechaun was in a tree and there was gold underneath it. It was just a stupid rumor but some people took it seriously and even made a dumb rap song about it.
I swear I saw a leprechaun in that tree, and I'm gonna dig up da gold and make you eat it.
My cousin went to Mobile for da gold and came back with a bag of chips and a headache.
That da gold nonsense was just a distraction so we could all fail math.
