The word before is so short, it's just called B/F to save time and make life harder for everyone.
'B/F' is just a fancy way of saying 'before'... and also a way to confuse people.
He used B/F instead of 'before' because he was too tired to write the whole word.
The teacher wrote B/F on the board and no one knew what it meant.
