Babelfishing
Babelfishing is when you translate each word individually and ignore the whole meaning, so it ends up sounding like nonsense.
I translated 'I'm going to the store' as 'I am going to the place where I buy things.' It was ridiculous.
My friend translated 'I'm tired' as 'I am sleepy and hungry.' That made no sense.
I translated 'I love you' as 'I like you and I am happy.' It was weird.
