A loudmouth who makes the whole group laugh but is a total mess when no one's around and talks to their pet goldfish.
They laughed at my joke. I laughed at their joke. Then they went home and yelled at their goldfish.
At the park, they were hilarious. Alone, they were just a sad man with a goldfish and a phone.
