A fancy name for a giant hole in the ocean where a bunch of jerks were drilling oil when everything exploded and killed 11 people. It’s like the ocean’s middle finger to BP.
My uncle was on that rig and got blown out like a firecracker. He’s still mad about it.
That oil spill was so bad, the fish had to take a shower.
I’d rather eat a cheeseburger than work on that rig.

A way to measure how much money it takes to screw up the whole ocean. Like a giant, expensive mistake.
That oil spill was a full Macondo, $50 billion and still not enough to clean it all up.
BP spent a Macondo just to make the ocean look like a grease stain.
That disaster was so expensive, it should have been called a Macondo of shame.
