I feel pretty is what you shout when you think you're the main character in West Side Story, but you're just the weird kid who sings in the shower. It's also what you say if you're too dumb to know the difference between a musical and a nightmare.

I feel pretty is a silly phrase used in journalism class to mean that you think Cleveland is safe, but you're just lying to yourself and everyone else. It's like saying you're not scared, even though you're hiding under a table.

'I feel pretty!' Owen said, even though he was hiding under the table during lunch.

'I feel pretty!' he tweeted, then ran out of the room screaming.
