This is the part of Montana that's east of the divide, but it doesn't include the fancy Southwest. Helena is here, but the people are a messed-up mix of Southwest, Eastern, and Western Montana. The farther east you go, the more you feel like you've been thrown into North Dakota with no warning, and everyone acts like they're from the Midwest.
'I moved to Eastern Montana and now I just wish I was in North Dakota, but I'm stuck between two places that hate each other.'
'Eastern Montana is like a family reunion gone wrong, everyone's there, but no one gets along.'
'I told my friend I was moving to Eastern Montana, and he said, 'You're gonna be surrounded by people who think they're from the Midwest and have no idea what a divide is.'
